Arta Sopaj is the founder of the Academy for Albanian Language and Culture in Berlin. Born in Switzerland, raised in Kosovo, and now based in Germany, Arta embodies a personal and professional journey that reflects the experience of many in the Albanian diaspora. She is a lecturer in Albanian as a foreign language and a researcher in the fields of language, identity, and the Albanian diaspora in Europe. Through the Academy, Arta seeks to create a vibrant and inclusive environment where the Albanian language is taught with passion, Albanian culture is deeply experienced, and the connection with the homeland is nurtured every day. She believes that learning Albanian is not just education—it is a way of building bridges between generations, countries, and hearts.
